Heading into the winter months it’s easy to look out into your garden and wonder if it will ever be the abundant, rich and beautiful space it was only a couple of months ago. But it’s not a time of year to abandon your garden, it’s definitely a time to tackle your landscaping projects. Getting active outside, even when it’s cold gives you a real boost and will help you get ahead of yourself for the coming year.

Tidying and maintaining your garden at this time of year isn’t just a good investment for the future, it will also give you a prettier view from your home during winter and a more pleasant environment if you fancy braving the cold and enjoying a seat outside with a hot drink.

Lawns and beds

Now is the time to get your lawns and beds in good order for the winter ahead. The last cut has probably already been done, but if not, make sure it’s a good one. Even if you’re fed-up mowing at the end of the season, putting some extra effort in for the last cut of the year always pays dividends.

Autumn and into winter are great times to clean and repair your hard surfaces in the garden.
